Gracie was outfitted in a cute brown and pink set from Carter's layette line for a recent trip to Mimi and Papa's house. I wanted this little number as soon as it came out and it happens to be one of the only outfits I have purchased for her that didn't come from Ebay! Gotta love the Goodwill sale at Bergner's!

So, I put Gracie under the activity center and covered up her legs while I was picking up the toys. I went into the kitchen to get a bottle of water and look what I came back to! She isn't rolling over yet so she just scooted her little self all the way over to the pillow.

If my memory serves me correctly, this is one of the first outfits that was purchased for Gracie once we found out "it" was a girl! It's J&J from Ebay and came with a cute matching hat, but we didn't know back then that she would have such a petite little head. It's ginormous!

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

I thought this Ebay bargain was perfect for the occassion! I got a great deal since I bought it in the winter, but I really should have gotten a bigger size!

Park Play-Date

Today we had a play date at the park in Hamilton. I didn't capture many pictures of the other kiddos (note to self to this the next time!), but got some good ones of our little guys! I brought along some things for the boys to play in the sand pile so they wouldn't try to play on the equipment that is too big for them since I was packing around Gracie. I usually do not let them play in the sand pile because I know it's kind of gross, but I let down my defenses. Wouldn't you know that a few minutes later I was telling another mom that I spelled dog poop and found it on Gunner's shoe! No more sand piles!

Gavin enjoyed throwing his "super-bouncy-bouncy ball" down the hill and then running after it.

I have gotten TONS more use out of this with Gracie than I did with the boys!

It is hard for me to let Gavin go down this slide alone. I usually follow him up and then let him go by himself. I was getting a workout, let me tell you!

4-Wheelin' Momma!

On Saturday, Clint and I went 4-wheeling with another couple at Fenway in Missouri. I really didn't know what was in store for me so I wasn't too prepared. Although I was driving very cautiously and being pretty safe, I should have been wearing a helmet! Much to my surprise, it was a lot of fun! Some of the trails we planned to ride on were flooded by the Mississippi so we spent most of our time in the sand. A few notes for myself to remember a few laughable moments from the evening: Macy saving the five cent bobber, Macy losing the biggest fish she's ever seen, bent handlebars, Q and a mouthful of sand, MacGyver, "Clint didn't start the fire. It was always burning since the world's been turning. Clint didn't start the fire. No he didn't light it, but he tried to fight it!"

Geese Gone Wild!

Here ya go, Daddy! You didn't believe that the geese were perching on Mimi and Papa's house! We took pictures to prove it! Although it looks kind of cool, I'm sure the poop isn't and they wouldn't mind you taking them out!

Our New Toy!

Gavin had no reservations hopping on the 4-wheeler! However, once Daddy got on and started the engine, it became a different story. Gunner had to take the first ride and then Gavin became interested again. He wanted Mommy to drive and he is now in love with it!

"Hang on, Gunner!"

Gavin always wants Daddy to go fast! This is surprising if you know Gavin.

Excellent Eyes!

We had to go back to Springfield for Gracie to see her pediatric opthamologist due to the white rings around her pupils. Dr. Knupp told us on her first visit that the outside appeared normal, although she has a funky discoloration. He asked us to come back after we had dilated her eyes so he could check the inside and make sure nothing serious was causing the discoloration. So, back we went and he gave us the thumbs up. Of course, we just happened to get to Springfield a bit early so we HAD to spend a little time at the mall. We found a little play after right before leaving so we opted to leave Gunner and Mimi to play while Gracie and mommy attended the appointment.

No problems here! My eyes are just beautiful!

I pooped in my fuscia leggings so these were our back-ups!

If this were another child, I would be telling my children that that little boy is going down the slide the wrong way! We sit on our bottoms to go down slides, right?!

I can see Gunner driving a real truck like this one day!

Mothers and Daughters

When looking back at pictures of Gavin and Gunner when they were Gracie's age, I realized I have missed blogging. It takes much longer to upload on Blogger than it does Facebook, plus Facebook seems to reach more family and friends. I thought I would take the easy way out and just use FB. I think I will really kick myself in the future if I do not continue my blog because I will not have all the little captions reminding me of what these crazy yet wonderful days are like. So, I'm going to jump back into it and see if I can't keep up!

Gracie and I recently attended our first mother and daughter banquet with Mimi at NTCC. It was a lot of fun and really made me feel proud to be both a mother and daughter. As I sat in the room surrounded by so many wonderful women and young ladies, I became more thankful than ever for my baby girl. I CANNOT imagine my world without her. As I've always been told, there's nothing that compares to the bond a mother and daughter share. The only thing that could have made the night more perfect would have been the company of my grandma Judy. It was an evening that also made me miss my Grandma Elaine as I know she would have been very proud to attend such an event with us.
