Happy Thanksgiving

Since we celebrated Thanksgiving early with Clint's parents, we spent Thanksgiving day at Alisha's parents. It was great to have the whole family home to feast with! Josh and Lea flew in from Florida and Jen, Gabe, and Matt flew in from California. Grandpa and Grandma Vance joined in with the gang as well. It was a great day filled w/ lots of eating, playing with the kids, tossing around the pigskin, and of course, napping!

Now, you would think you would find this picture at the end when the day was over, however, Gavin and Daddy starting napping before the day had even begun!

If my memory serves me correctly, Josh succeeded in catching this ball but was tripped up by the grass shortly thereafter. Dad had to apologize to Lea for Josh's grass stain on his jeans!

My first day-after-Thanksgiving shopping!

We were so thankful to be able to take Gavin to St. Louis for his first day-after-Thanksgiving shopping. Clint decided he would have too much fun so he thought he'd stay home to do some hunting. It has been a tradition in my family for several years...my mom, dad, sister, nephew, and I stay in a hotel the night of Thanksgiving and get up early the next morning to hit all the early bird sales. We have so much fun! Dad is such a trooper because he always takes our bags to the car for us and waits in line to get us pretzels at Auntie Anne's. He is also in charge of keeping Gabe (my nephew) entertained most of the day. As any of you with toddlers know...it's not an easy task! But he loves every minute he gets to spend with him. We got a little later start this year with Gavin, but we still had a pretty productive day. Gavin did so well! He is such a good baby! He really enjoyed watching all the activity throughout the day. Jen and Gabe had to leave for California on Saturday but we still managed to make it back to the mall for a picture with Santa!
