Walking Update

It has been 13 days since Gavin took his "first steps" on July 6th. He seems to progressively get a little stronger and a little sturdier each day. We still try to keep him on the carpet and in the grass as he takes some pretty nasty spills, especially when he falls face down! Mima and Mommy went shoe shopping last weekend to find him a good pair of walking shoes after he stubbed his toe on the concrete in our driveway. I learned a lot about infant shoes that day! Gavin is modeling his new kicks in the video. As you will see, the uneven ground outside still gives him the fits!

A Trip to the Zoo

A look at Gavin's "nearly new" Zoo play yard. Gavin was playing in it while mommy was looking for a double stroller. He was very upset when it was time to leave and he had to leave it behind. It was mismarked at $5 but the nice gentleman gave it to us for that price because he new Gavin would enjoy it. This all happened before Gavin spent half a day playing with the spoon and hair ties. :-)

Toys...what toys?

Still Going

Here is some footage of Gavin walking last week. He was more into his spoon, hair tie, and ball than he was into getting in some practice!

Sand and Sun

Gavin had a playdate last week at the "beach" with his friend, Ella. They had a lot of fun playing in the sand and swimming with their mommies. As you can see from the last picture, all of their playing really wore them out!

July 4, 2007

I spent my first Fourth of July in Kansas City at my Great Aunt Theresa's. I got to see lots of family and meet some of them for the first time. I had a lot of fun getting spoiled! I didn't get to see any fireworks because we were driving back home, but I think they might have scared me anyway.
