We love you, Gavin and Gunner

Happy 17 Months, Gavin!

Our poor little guy has been battling a cold/cough for almost two weeks now. I'm surprised he doesn't have a nose like Rudolph's due to the countless number of times it has been wiped. Luckily, he has come to enjoy saying the word "snot" and letting mommy know when he needs a kleenex. He wants little to do with eating which is not helping our quest to get him to gain weight due to the fact that his "little" brother now only weighs about 5 pounds less than him. We love our Gavin dearly and thank God for our truly wonderful blessing.

Mommy's Big Helper

As I've mentioned several times, Gavin is fascinated with the big vacuum. Once I get the "big" sweeper out of the closet, he usually wants nothing to do with his little sweeper. Today, Daddy got him to sweep along side mommy his sweeper which was a big "help" to mommy.

Kathy's Pumpkin Patch

Ok, so these may be a bit late. If you remember, I had a mix-up with my CD's from Walgreens. They gave me a CD with some hunter and his deer rather than my Halloween pix. I thought these pix were to cute to forget about.

Believe it or not, Gavin didin't even try to eat it! If we stuck him in there today, he'd probably put a fistful in his mouth. He loves corn!

We found corn in all kinds of crevices once we returned home. I'll leave that to your imagination!

They had pumpkins of all sizes! These were just right for Gavin!

We visited the patch on Halloween day. It looks like they had a "few" pumpkins left to get rid of!

Since it was Halloween, we got a great deal on three HUGE pumpkins! We intended to cut them out and put all three cousins in them, however, Gunner seemed to be the only one who wanted to cooperate. Mommy tried to demonstrate to Gavin how to get in the pumpkin.

What's Up, Doc?

I thought this picture was funny! Gavin is a little under the weather, so he grabbed Daddy's stocking hat and Gunner's blanket and headed to his car for a little R &R. He just sat in there for the longest time humming to himself. We went to the doc yesterday for Gunner's 4 month check-up. Our little growing boy now weighs 17 1/2 lbs and is 26 1/8 in long! We had Gavin checked as well but they both just have a common cold. I guess since Daddy started out with it that means Mommy is next.

Daddy's Boy

Gavin has become really interested in daddy's camo hats and slippers. He loves to give everyone a hat to wear. It is very cute!

Bruiser

Thank goodness it's Friday! Mommy is ready to have Daddy home for some company and help! Gavin has not slept well the last two nights because he has started a cold. He always has trouble breathing through his mouth and keeping his pacifier in, which means big trouble! He has only been sleeping about 30 minutes for naps which means no down time for mommy! Although you can't tell very well from the pictures, Gavin got a pretty good shiner today. He was chasing mommy and fell into a doorway. He was pretty tough, though. I think it scared him more than anything.

Rolling and Painting

It was an exciting night in the Grothaus household. Along with celebrating Gunner's four month birthday, Gavin got to "paint" and learn his colors with pudding. It was an idea I had read in a parenting magazine. He had lots of fun and got a tasty treat! While Mommy was helping Gavin, Daddy was encouraging Gunner to roll over. The first picture shows how far he got on his own. He couldn't figure out how to get his left arm out from under him. Gavin was very proud of little brother as you can see in the picture of him clapping for him.

Logie Bear Comes For A Visit

Logan really enjoyed blasting some tunes with Uncle Clint!

Gavin enjoyed stealing Logan's mommy, Aunt Cynthia, to have her read to him.

We thought it would be fun to have the boys take a bath together. Logan just kind of stared at his crazy cousin, Gavin.
