Our next stop on the tour was Carthage, Illinois, where we would spend Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with Gavin's mima and papa. We attended Christmas Eve services at New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk, IA, and then headed home for some snacks and to await Santa's arrivial. We awoke Christmas morning to a feast prepared by Papa while Mima watched Gavin so Mommy and Daddy could sleep in. Gavin was spoiled with gifts but he loved every one of them. It was a very special Christmas for mommy to spend with her husband, son, and family. The only thing that would have made it more special was if Uncle Josh, Aunt Lea, Aunt Jen, Matt, and Gabe could have been there to celebrate with us. We missed you!!

Mommy's best friend, Ashley, stopped by to see Gavin. I believe she got a little baby fever???
Gavin tried REALLY hard to wait for Santa!
Merry First Christmas Baby Gavin!
Papa slaving away in the kitchen.
I love Christmas!!
Proud mommy and daddy!!
Proud mima and papa, too!
Gee, I wonder what this could be???

Okay mommy Ali, thanks for posting the picture of mima w/out makeup. BUT...since it's with my precious lil' buddy on his first Christmas morning, I'll let it go. Ha! Thanks for letting us be a part of a very special day. AND, thanks so much for coming to Candlelight Service...makes it more special to have you there. Jesus IS the reason for the season. I love you guys!!!
Oh, and yes, it definitely would have been more special if the rest of the family could have been there. We hope for that to happen next year to break in our new home. Now that would be the perfect Christmas!!!
Christmas is truly a atime to be with family and loved ones...and to remember those that aren't with us. I'm so glad you all could be together!! Makes it that much more special with a baby!
Wow! You have lots of pictures! I like the one of me, you, & Gavin. So cute! As far as the baby fever....um not yet. I don't see how you do it! I see you are training Gavin to be a major book worm. And does he really like the bright green seat you have him sitting in a lot? Ha! It looks like you had a LOT of Christmas gatherings. I'm sure you were wore out! I was glad I got to see you all. Hopefully I can come visit you at your new house soon. Happy 2007!
And kudos to the cook! Thanks for all your help papa!! The biscuits and gravy were out of this world. Love you!
