Baby Gunner

Since I don't have any pictures of Gavin to post today, I thought I'd give you a little update on our little Gunner. As of today, he is approximately 21 weeks and three days old. By the end of this week, he'll measure about 7 inches from crown to rump and weigh nearly a pound. Not bad for a little guy who weighed barely an ounce 10 weeks ago! His hearing is developing, and sounds from my conversations can be heard inside the uterus--along with my heartbeat, stomach rumblings, and the pulsing of blood vessels. In fact, the womb is so noisy that it's been compared to an airport runway during takeoff; it's thought that the stimuli prepare the baby for the cacophony of noises, sights, and sounds that will greet him at birth. Pretty exciting and interesting, huh?

It's just SO NEAT that Gunner can actually 'hear' your voice and all the noises that are present in the womb!! Wonder how they discover all that! Anyway, so much for tiptoeing around babies so you don't wake them up, huh? Won't be long before Gunner makes his appearance! Time surely is flying, isn't it? Hope you are feeling good! Love ya'all!

Baby Gunner will be here before you know it! And I'm sure he'll be as handsome and smart as his big brother.
