Robert and Jeni's Wedding

This weekend my cousin, Jeni, got married to her high school sweetheart, Robert Gaffey. The wedding was in Iowa City so we planned to spend the night, therefore, Saturday morning was very hectic for me! I have known the wedding was this weekend for quite some time now, but I had to wait until the last minute to pack. By the time we finally got packed, dressed, fed, and on the road, the boys decided they weren't that tired and didn't really sleep much the whole way there. This left them very grouchy and shy upon arriving to the wedding. Clint stayed with them in basement while Gracie and I attended the wedding. Actually, we watched the whole thing from the cry room which was fabulous becaue I didn't have to worry about her starting to fuss. About 15 minute before the ceremony ended, she had a blow out! Yep, all the way up her back onto her pretty outfit. The back of the tank was white so the yellow stain was pretty noticable. During communion, I snuck her out the back and down to the basement to get her cleaned up. I was determined she was going to wear her outfit...poop stained and all! We then headed to the reception and were luckily seated in a corner and near an exit so the boys had an area to play. My cousins Jalan, Alana, and Chauntel were great babysitters! The boys enjoyed a little dancing but really just wanted to get in the pool! That had to wait for the next morning though. We had a fantastic brunch on Sunday morning and then went to the pool as promised. Both boys went under but Gavin was not a big fan. He has come along way since his first summer, though!

What a beautiful wedding. Our lil princess Gracie definitely came in second to the beautiful bride (not to steal the show). And the boys were so darling in their ties. What fun seeing them on the dance floor with all the kids not to mention playing together other places!!

Yes, Cyle deserves a medal for driving all the way from Little Rock, Arkansas, up to Iowa City for his cousin's wedding. Unbelievable!! He has grown up so much and realizing the importance of family values. I was impressed at your (Alisha) wedding when Rick's girls missed state/regional tournaments to come to your wedding and now Cyle. How nice!!!!

You are a trooper to endure that much! I think I would have been frazzled, but it sounds like you handled it great. I guess you just have to do what you have to do. Great pictures!
