We had perfect weather today so of course, we headed to the park. Sometimes staying at home can seem lonely, especially during the winter months, so getting out and around other moms and kiddos is nice! I would go to the park in Monroe City during the day and we would be the only ones there. The boys love the park in Keokuk and so do I! They can pretty much get around everything they want without my help, plus it is cushioned with sand! We take our pail and shovel and tractors and the boys go to town! We always have other kids wanting to "borrow" the toys but Gavin has been pretty good about sharing as long as he has something to dig with. Gavin usually finds a boy or two to chase after. It is really funny to watch him mock them and try to say and do the things they are doing as they are usually older.
I'm sure you can imagine where I find sand when we change our clothes!
The boys had a "picnic" in the living room when we got back from the park. I let them watch Dora while they were eating so they were very engrossed and wanted nothing to do with smiling for mommy!

Isn't it fun to make the littlest things exciting for kids? A picnic in the living room is right up our alley!
